proportions set in Neo Tokyo in the year 2019. It is set after a
nuclear holocaust, Tokyo has been rebuilt but the world is on the
brink of destruction. Tokyo is filled with tech-noir fetishism, the
streets are ruled by vicious bike gangs and massive riots are not
uncommon. The people of Neo Tokyo need something to believe in -
that thing is AKIRA!
It remains to be the most widely renowend anime piece of all time!
writen by Otomo Katsuhiro, one of the worlds leading animation
directors in 1987, it was published in the form of over
40 graphic novels which are now owened (and have been coloured) by
Epic comics a division of Marvel comics. It was then released in a
video form by manga video (number IWCV 1001), It was then released
as a collector's edition in wide screen and including a production
report (number IWCV 1002). The production report was released by
Manga seperately (MANV 1036).
