Anime, as you probably know, is the name given to Japanese animations aimed at the older audience. Roughly transalated Anime means 'irresponsible pictures'. This medium is highly popular in Japan and is gradually increasing its fanbase in England.
The companies who release Anime videos in the UK are:-
Manga
Western Connection
Anime Pioneer (Pioneer LDCE)
Keiseki
East 2 West
A.D. Vision
and Anime Projects
Manga is probably the best of these, and releases the most titles - about three to four a month. Most of the videos are based on a Japanese comic (Manga means comic in Japanese). These are distributed by VIZ comics in the UK, but unfortunately not very well and so are only really available in comic shops.
